Extra-Ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
Extra-Ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are lay people who have received instruction and training and are commission by the parish to help in the distribution of the precious body and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ, during the Communion Rite in Liturgy.
This ministry also includes bringing the Blessed Sacrament to the infirmed or homebound of our parish community which is arranged through the Bethany Ministry directed by Deacon
Tony Bernadine in the Office of Pastoral Ministries. Ministers
sign-up to serve at Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and Holy Days but are assigned to the regular schedule of masses in a rotating basis.
Ministers may request to be assigned to the same mass as their family members who may be another Extra-Ordinary Minister of the Eucharist, Altar Server or Lector. For more information, please call the rectory.
